About us

For fifteen years The Swedish Forum for Human Rights has been Scandinavia’s biggest venue for inspiration, debates, professional development and networking in the area of human rights. The Forum is a non-profit project organized by a coalition of organizations. Together we bring up the most current issues, challenges and opportunities and find new ways of involvement and collaboration. When it comes to the number of participants, there’s no equivalent to the Forum among the Nordic countries. Annually the Forum gathers approximately:

3 000 – 5 000 visitors
80 exhibitors
150 programme acts organizers
100 volunteers

Eleven different organizations are behind the Forum: the Academy for Democracy, Diakonia, Friends, Bris, the Swedish Foundation for Human Rights, the association Ordfront, Sensus Study Association, Ibn Rushd Study Association, the Raoul Wallenberg Institute, the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Gothenburg and the Swedish Church.
